Carly, her friend Rhonda, and their families delivered the first batch of Blessing Bags to Butler County Children’s services in November of 2015. Carly’s mother spent her childhood in the foster care system. The stories about carrying worn out possessions in trash bags through 20+ foster homes and seeing how her mother's traumatic years in foster care trickle down to affect her own childhood motivated her to continue providing local foster care agencies with Blessing Bags.

Since then Operation Blessing Bag has been recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit, grown to serve a variety of agencies and counties in Southwest Ohio, filled more than 3,000 Blessing Bags, and inspired many to become more involved in the foster care system.

Carly believes Blessing Bags make a difference but being a supportive role model is how you make the biggest impact in a child’s life. That's why her family went through the process to become a licensed foster family, they've been actively fostering since 2018.

Carly draws from her entrepreneurial spirit, experience managing small businesses, and passion for the cause to drive Operation Blessing Bag to their goals.
