It's humbling to know that we were each fearfully and wonderfully made by a God who does not make mistakes.  No matter what we have done, or what situations we have been born into, He loves us deeply.  He has given each one of us a purpose and He has a plan for our lives. No one should ever feel lost, forgotten, or unloved, especially a child. James 1:27 tells us to visit the fatherless in their affliction, and I believe Operation Blessing Bag is answering God's call by letting these children know that they are valuable, they are loved, and that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them and who has a purpose and a plan for their lives.

The first time I heard Carly speak about Operation Blessing Bag, I could feel God calling me to come alongside this ministry in any way that I could. In the beginning that meant sponsoring bags, collecting socks at church, and volunteering at packing parties.  Now as a Core Volunteer, it means answering God's call with "Here I am, send me," when a need arises.  Volunteering with Operation Blessing Bag has brought my entire family great joy.  My heart explodes with love watching my daughters get excited about selling cookies and lemonade to raise money for kids entering the Foster Care System, packing Blessing Bags, and praying for the children who will receive them.  Sitting back and watching God work as this ministry grows has been nothing short of miraculous. He is so faithful to meet the needs of His children and I am blessed that He has given me the opportunity to play a small part in the big things He is doing in and through Operation Blessing Bag.
